E-Commerce Pick & Pack Operations Manager

Overview

We seek an experienced and goal-driven E-Commerce Pick & Pack Operations Manager to oversee complete warehouse fulfillment activities. This role involves supervision of picking, packing, inventory management, manpower allocation, quality assurance, productivity enhancement, and ensuring prompt dispatch of orders.

Experience & Education

• At least five years of relevant professional exposure in e-commerce, warehouse operations, fulfillment centers, third-party logistics (3PL), retail, or direct-to-consumer (D2C) businesses.
• A Bachelor's degree or higher qualification such as an MBA or PGDM focused on Operations, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related disciplines is preferred.
• Prior experience managing large-scale pick and pack operations is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Supervise daily picking, packing, sorting, staging, and dispatch procedures.
• Maintain order accuracy, ensure productivity goals and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Turnaround Time (TAT) targets.
• Schedule and manage workforce based on incoming order volumes and operational demands.
• Oversee inventory integrity through stock reconciliation, cycle counting, and shrinkage monitoring.
• Enhance and enforce warehouse Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational workflows.
• Monitor key operational metrics and produce detailed Management Information System (MIS) reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Detect operational challenges and lead cost-saving and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Collaborate with departments such as Sales, Customer Service, Transport, IT, and Finance to ensure smooth operations.
• Manage relationships with manpower suppliers and 3PL providers, ensuring service excellence.
• Guarantee adherence to safety standards, quality norms, and organizational policies.
• Effectively handle peak seasons and periods of high-volume order processing.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Expertise in e-commerce pick and pack operations management.
• Proficiency in leading and managing teams and workforce resources effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication, complemented by interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and creation of MIS reports.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities paired with sound decision-making judgment.
• Comprehensive understanding of SLA, TAT, productivity, and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Ability to interpret operational data to identify and implement corrective measures.
• Continuous process improvement mindset with a focus on cost control.
• Capacity to perform efficiently under high pressure and manage substantial order volumes.

Preferred Extras

• Familiarity with Power BI or dashboard creation tools.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse automation technologies including barcode scanners and RFID systems.
• Background in developing and implementing operational SOPs.
• A proven history of reducing operational expenses and boosting productivity.

Compensation

The monthly remuneration ranges between INR 38,000 and INR 42,000.
