About the Role
This role involves overseeing the logistics operations both domestically and internationally within sectors such as courier services, e-commerce and third-party logistics (3PL) covering rail, cargo, air, and surface transport modes. The ideal candidate will have between 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience managing logistics functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately maintain and track warehouse inventories.
- Plan and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments to ensure smooth logistics flow.
- Recruit, onboard, and train warehouse staff to ensure operational efficiency.
- Manage materials delivery schedules ensuring client deadlines and expectations are met.
- Evaluate and suggest optimal shipping methods, routing options, or carrier partnerships to align with project requirements and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate shipping rates and contracts with carrier companies.
- Maintain detailed records regarding customer service interactions and safety protocols.
