Job description
Role Overview
We are currently seeking motivated individuals to join our Boots.ie online order picking team at our store in Wicklow until January 30, 2027. Reporting to the Assistant or Store Manager, your main responsibility will be to accurately pick and pack customer orders using handheld devices, manage stockroom activities, assist with deliveries, and contribute to stock control within the store.
Working Schedule
You will need to be available from Monday through Sunday with shifts during the following timeframes:
- Monday - Saturday: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Sunday: 11:30 AM to 6:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack online orders using handheld technology.
- Gather and verify all necessary information for order picking, packing, and dispatch processes.
- Identify and collect products from various locations within the store’s picking areas.
- Operate Pod equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere strictly to company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements relevant to online order handling.
- Support other operational tasks within the store as needed.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of online picking and packing workflows.
- Ability to follow procedures while maintaining a fast work pace.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Team player with effective communication and active listening skills.
- Comfortable using digital tools and handheld devices for order processing.
- Commitment to excellent customer service, including occasional interaction on the shop floor.
- Flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns.
Preferred Experience
- Background in retail or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Experience with handheld Pod devices and IT systems.
