Job Overview
Astler Engineering Consultation & Training is seeking a skilled and passionate Online BIM & Structural Instructor to deliver a comprehensive remote training program. The role involves instructing engineers and students through four principal courses that encompass manual structural design according to codes, structural analysis, advanced modeling, and the production of execution drawings, preparing participants thoroughly for the structural engineering industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct interactive online lectures and provide practical training across four core courses:
- Revit Architecture & Structure Basics focusing on foundational architectural and structural modeling.
- Manual Structural Design adhering to both American and Saudi building codes.
- Structural Design & Analysis utilizing ETABS and SAFE software tools.
- Advanced LOD 400 Structural Modeling and preparation of detailed shop drawings with comprehensive detailing.
- Develop and enhance educational materials, practical applications, and projects reflective of real industry scenarios for each course.
- Assess trainee projects, monitor their progress online, and provide detailed technical feedback and engineering solutions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering; postgraduate degrees or Autodesk professional certifications preferred.
- Possess Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit for Structural Design certification.
- Experience: Demonstrated expertise in engineering training delivered online with virtual course management experience.
- Strong hands-on background in structural design, BIM applications, and shop drawing projects.
- Technical Skills: Proficient use of Autodesk Revit (Architecture & Structure), ETABS, and SAFE.
- Comprehensive knowledge of American structural codes (ACI/AISC) and Saudi Building Code (SBC).
- Expertise in LOD 400 modeling requirements, reinforcement detailing, and producing shop drawings.
- Access to a suitable online training environment including high-speed internet, high-specification computer, and clear audio equipment.
