About the Role
Join Carinity Education – Shalom Townsville as a senior Office Coordinator responsible for managing both Primary and Secondary administration offices. The role ensures seamless communication and standardized practices between these offices while supporting a nurturing Christian learning environment for marginalized youth.
This position involves handling various school administrative duties, addressing needs from staff, students, families, and the broader community to uphold a quality educational experience. Liaison with Carinity's business administration team in Brisbane is also part of the responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the operations of two administrative offices for Primary and Secondary education.
- Coordinate enrolment processes and maintain comprehensive student records ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
- Ensure compliance with government reporting standards and manage interschool transfer documentation.
- Maintain updated administrative procedures and handbooks.
- Oversee school calendars and ensure accurate recording of staff and student information in relevant systems.
- Support sound financial administrative and management practices within the school environment.
- Provide consistent internal communication and collaborate effectively across teams.
Requirements
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Proven leadership experience managing small teams is preferred.
- Established experience with office administration procedures, ideally within a secondary school context.
- Proficiency with a broad range of information systems including financial software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite is essential.
- Experience working with TASS management software is a plus.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) is mandatory.
Work Hours
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
