o9 Implementation Consultant (Functional)

Role Overview

This position is for a full-time Functional Consultant specialized in Supply Chain Management, based in Mumbai or Bengaluru with a hybrid work model. The consultant will play a pivotal role in implementing and managing supply chain planning solutions, particularly involving O9 or similar advanced supply chain software, across various industries and sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and apply strategies to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction on ongoing supply chain technology projects.
• Formulate account strategies that leverage the strengths of the consulting team.
• Lead geographically dispersed teams on multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery exceeding client expectations.
• Execute consulting engagements in supply chain planning domains such as demand and supply planning, S&OP, distribution planning, MRP, inventory planning, replenishment planning, and network optimization.
• Establish structure in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and guide teams toward success.
• Support clients in selecting, implementing, and adopting supply chain software solutions.
• Provide functional and business process expertise across projects involving consultants, subcontractors, global remote teams, and client personnel.
• Manage cross-functional programs involving multiple client stakeholders and vendors.
• Advise clients on industry best practices and process benchmarks.
• Lead and mentor consultants to uphold project excellence and accountability.
• Contribute to building and expanding the supply chain practice by engaging in pre-sales activities and developing new solutions.
• Create reusable assets to accelerate solution delivery.
• Effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities in a timely and diplomatic manner.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Strong educational credentials from reputable engineering and management institutions.
• Solid comprehension of supply chain planning processes, including demand and supply planning, S&OP, and inventory optimization.
• Completed at least two implementations involving best-in-class supply chain software such as O9 or custom-built applications with advanced AI/ML algorithms.
• Possess 4 to 6 years of experience in the supply chain planning domain with exposure to relevant technologies.
• Willingness to adapt and learn different supply chain technologies as required, with training support provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and ensuring clear follow-through and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a self-driven attitude to achieve excellence.
• Careful planning aptitude with attention to detail and the capacity to multitask effectively.
• Capability to lead projects within matrix management environments, focusing on collaboration, efficiency, openness, and result orientation.
• Ability to work with and analyze large data sets; skills in R, Python, and SQL are preferred.
