Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking a Nutritional and Culinary Administrator to join our team at a major technology client site in Hollyhill, Cork. This full-time position requires flexibility to work across a 5-7 day schedule. Reporting to the Nutritional Manager, the successful candidate will focus on meticulous menu collection, formatting, editing, and dissemination in adherence to culinary standard operating procedures and managerial directives.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow instructions diligently for daily and weekly assignments while coordinating with team members.
- Exhibit patience and understanding when managing tasks and collaborating with colleagues.
- Possess a solid knowledge of ingredients, allergen data, and dietary specifics for menu items.
- Create, edit, and upload menus on internal website and application platforms promptly on a daily basis.
- Perform thorough quality control checks on platforms to identify and correct errors related to pricing, allergens, and other discrepancies.
- Capture and upload photographs for each menu item to complement the listings.
- Gather comprehensive menu data two weeks in advance from nine kitchens across five units based on recipe cards from Lead Chefs.
- Provide support to the menu-making team by covering shifts, managing annual leaves, and weekend (Saturday) duties as needed.
- Communicate consistently with Lead Chefs to ensure their familiarity with dish allergens and ingredients.
- Maintain an organized repository of recipes and accompanying photos for audits and investigations.
- Foster positive working relationships with the menu-making team, culinary leads, front-of-house leads, and senior management.
- Adhere to a protein calendar to prevent dish duplication or similar protein use across units.
- Provide daily updates and clear communication with the Nutritional team concerning task priorities and completions.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and rearrange priorities dynamically.
- Exhibit professional phone and email communication etiquette.
Qualifications and Skills
- A degree in Nutrition or a related field is mandatory.
- Prior administrative experience in a fast-paced environment is essential.
- Exceptional attention to detail is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is expected.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of food health and safety standards.
- Familiarity with the 14 main allergens and dietary information.
- Strong command of the English language.
