About the Role
Located in a prime position overlooking the beach, the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott has been recently refurbished and is seeking a dedicated Night Porter to join their team on a full-time basis. This position is crucial for maintaining excellent guest service throughout the night, ensuring the security, comfort, and safety of both the guests and the hotel premises.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide a welcoming and professional reception to guests arriving during night hours, creating a positive first impression.
- Efficiently manage guest check-ins and check-outs while maintaining strong phone etiquette.
- Answer guest inquiries, handle requests, and resolve complaints courteously and professionally.
- Monitor hotel security systems and perform regular patrols to ensure safety.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the lobby and public areas throughout the shift.
- Assist with emergency procedures including fire safety and evacuation when necessary.
Candidate Requirements
- Experience in hotels or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory as training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English for effective interaction with guests and colleagues.
- Good organizational abilities to handle guest requests efficiently.
- Capability to work independently during night shifts with vigilance and professionalism.
- Friendly and approachable demeanor, dedicated to providing excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts on a rotating schedule.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in hotel operations is advantageous.
