Night Freight Associate (Full-Time)

Key Responsibilities

• Stock merchandise on shelves to maintain full stock availability.
• Handle packing and unpacking of products as directed.
• Showcase new products and promotional items effectively.
• Keep aisles clean and organized to ensure merchandise is both accessible and visually appealing.
• Manage overhead storage areas, including organizing and striping as needed.
• Collaborate with the freight team to ensure accurate placement of all products.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting, engaging, and thanking customers following company standards.
• Ask open-ended questions when assisting customers to understand their projects and expertise level.
• Move freight safely using appropriate equipment from staging areas to shelves or vice versa.
• Ensure aisles are safe and easily navigable for customers.
• Adhere to all safety and loss prevention policies and procedures.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Must be flexible to work overnight shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Warehouse setting that may be dusty and noisy, with occasional gas fumes from forklift operations.
• Exposure to temperature fluctuations caused by frequently opened doors.
• Physical activities such as bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving objects.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 12 to 16 feet to retrieve or stock merchandise.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One to two years of experience in retail or distribution preferred.
• Experience operating equipment like reach trucks, forklifts, and order picker machines is an advantage.

Additional Information

• Reports to the Freight Team Supervisor.
• No travel requirements for this role.
