Job Overview
The Nexthink Administrator is charged with managing, configuring, and optimizing the Nexthink platform, aiming to enhance digital employee experiences, improve endpoint oversight, and elevate IT service efficiency. This role involves interpreting telemetry data into practical insights and fostering proactive problem resolution, working collaboratively with IT operations, service desks, endpoint engineering, and workplace technology departments to advance monitoring, automation, and overall user experience enterprise-wide.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and configure Nexthink including user roles, permissions, and fundamental system settings.
- Track endpoint health and digital experience trends to detect problems and determine their root causes.
- Develop and sustain dashboards, reports, and performance scorecards for operational use and stakeholder updates.
- Design, validate, and upkeep Remote Actions and automated remediation workflows.
- Develop and administer alerts, campaigns, and monitoring scenarios for experience metrics.
- Integrate Nexthink with enterprise systems like ITSM platforms, directory services, APIs, and automation solutions.
- Collaborate with service desk and endpoint engineering teams to enhance monitoring and remediation efficiency.
- Drive adoption of Nexthink insights across IT and business units.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, operating procedures, and governance standards for the platform.
- Diagnose platform issues and coordinate with vendors or internal teams for resolution.
Qualifications
- 6 to 9 years of experience in IT operations, endpoint management, or Nexthink administration.
- Practical expertise with Nexthink modules, including Investigations, Dashboards, Campaigns, Remote Actions, Alerts, and Application Experience.
- Proficient in Nexthink Query Language (NQL).
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell; familiarity with Python or Bash is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of Windows and/or macOS endpoint platforms and performance monitoring.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Certification as a Nexthink Administrator or other Nexthink certifications.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of tools like Intune, SCCM, Jamf, ServiceNow, or comparable platforms.
- Background in automation and workflow orchestration.
- Experience with digital employee experience analytics and reporting.
Additional Platform Exposure
Experience with Nexthink Infinity suite components such as Workplace Experience, VDI Experience, Mobile Experience, Collaboration Experience, Flow, Adopt, AI Drive, or Experience Central is a plus.
