Murex Implementation Manager

Job Purpose

The role involves comprehending the business requirements within the designated domain and proceeding to develop, configure, and deliver the necessary applications and systems to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement approved departmental policies, processes, and procedures, provide clear instructions to team members, and oversee their adherence to ensure skillful execution of tasks.
• Supervise daily operations maintaining compliance with established standards and SLA timelines.
• Ensure all operational tasks are completed within targeted timeframes.
• Conduct daily system maintenance for Murex to uphold system and application stability.
• Guarantee smooth execution of daily Murex jobs, including backups and disaster recovery processes.
• Liaise with business operations to accurately identify and clarify their requirements in the assigned area.
• Analyze business needs to support deployment of solutions that align with operational demands.
• Stay informed about local and global trends and best practices in banking operating systems, recommending improvements to increase efficiency and operational speed.
• Maintain consistency and streamlined unit structure to ensure error-free processing and swift service delivery.
• Ensure proper archiving of all documents in line with policies and guidelines to sustain operational efficiency.
• Participate actively in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in systems, processes, and practices, considering international best practices, business process improvement, cost reduction, and increased productivity.
• Direct data analysis to detect trends and opportunities for enhancing quality and efficiency, enabling corrective measures as necessary.
• Oversee the preparation of statistical reports for senior management to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Ensure department-wide compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental policies to promote employee safety, legal adherence, and environmental responsibility.
• Complete assignments and handle ad-hoc tasks from business units and Operations Management as directed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 6 to 8 years of pertinent experience in the field.
• Thorough knowledge of Murex products and advanced operational expertise with Murex.
• Ability to configure Murex system components such as book setups, accounting events, and rules to meet organizational posting requirements.
• Strong team collaboration skills, with readiness to coordinate with other experts to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Proficiency in English communication, both spoken and written.
• Basic operational understanding of Sun Unix and Java to manage system health and escalate issues effectively.
