Team Overview

The Multimedia Platform division develops complex multimedia processing systems, including video transcoding, cloud-based editing, and image manipulation frameworks. It encompasses backend development, specialized multimedia engineering, and heterogeneous computing technologies. Handling processing of hundreds of millions of videos along with tens of billions of images daily, the platform robustly supports the continuous growth and innovation of TikTok. Our objective is to establish a leading multimedia processing platform and deliver the most advanced multimedia engineering architecture.

Role Responsibilities

• Fulfill multimedia-related product demands such as image processing, video transcoding, editing, and analysis.
• Conduct thorough performance evaluation and improvements for video processing workflows.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor's or Master's degree completion (or nearing completion) in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Proficiency in at least one common programming language such as C, C++, Python, or Go with strong coding abilities.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with multimedia technologies including video codecs, detection algorithms, and enhancement techniques.
• Previous work on media processing frameworks is advantageous.
• Experience optimizing video processing performance is preferred.
• Exposure to transcoding operations or computing platform development is a plus.
• Demonstrates positive and proactive attitude, high responsibility, meticulousness, and effective teamwork and communication skills.
