Job description
Role Overview
Jotun Kenya is looking for a Multicolor Technician to provide expert technical support and maintenance for tinting machines across its dealer network and warehouse in Kenya. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal performance of tinting and mixing equipment to minimize downtime and support business growth and customer satisfaction. Located in Nairobi, the role reports to the Area Sales Manager for Decorative Retail.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and servicing of Jotun Multicolor tinting machines and mixers.
- Troubleshoot and quickly diagnose mechanical or electrical faults, providing effective solutions.
- Implement installations of the full Multicolor concept, including shop-in-shop setups, in collaboration with the sales team at dealer locations.
- Keep detailed and up-to-date records of service, installations, spare parts usage, and inventory in the official logbook for ongoing monitoring and improvement.
- Train dealer operators on proper operation and basic maintenance of Multicolor equipment to ensure safe and efficient use.
- Identify problems with Multicolor systems and apply new updates and concepts to resolve issues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 2 years of practical experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing mechanical and/or electrical machinery.
- Experience with tinting machines or similar automated equipment is highly desirable.
- Proficient English communication skills, both spoken and written.
- Comfortable with technology and adaptable to new processes.
