About the Role
Our client is a reputable automotive company based in Cardiff with a busy bodyshop, seeking an experienced Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician to join their expanding team. This role suits a technician experienced in various facets of vehicle accident repair including MET duties, panel repairs, stripping, refitting, and general bodyshop responsibilities. Key Duties
- Perform a range of vehicle bodyshop repairs involving multiple specialties
- Conduct mechanical and electrical tasks such as removal and refitting of components (MET work)
- Carry out panel and general body repairs
- Prepare vehicles by stripping and refitting parts before repairs
- Detect damage and evaluate the necessary repairs
- Collaborate with panel beaters, paint specialists and other bodyshop personnel
- Ensure repairs meet safety requirements and high-quality standards
- Work efficiently to achieve productivity and quality goals
- Complete repair documentation and job cards with accuracy
- Maintain a workplace that is tidy, safe and well organized
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Multiskilled Bodyshop Technician, MET Technician or Bodyshop Technician
- Competence in various vehicle accident repair disciplines
- Strong skills in MET duties, stripping/refitting, and body repairs
- Previous work experience in a busy bodyshop environment
- Meticulous attention to detail with a focus on quality
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Relevant automotive or bodyshop qualifications preferred
- Valid full UK driving license
