MRT Technician

Position Overview

This role involves conducting scheduled preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. Tasks include mattress and box spring inspection and flipping, bed frame assembly, vacuuming under furniture, spot cleaning carpets and upholstery, dusting, and touch-up repairs such as painting and furniture touch-ups. The technician ensures all necessary hardware and appliances in rooms are functional, replaces light fixtures, and inspects and repairs grout and caulking.

Minor fixes such as tightening toilet seats, changing bulbs, and wall patching are also required alongside general cleaning of tubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors. Immediate reporting of serious maintenance issues or safety hazards to management is essential.

Compliance and Conduct

All safety and security protocols must be strictly followed, with prompt reporting of accidents or unsafe conditions. Maintaining a professional and clean appearance, adhering to confidentiality, and safeguarding company assets are mandatory. Interactions with guests should meet established hospitality standards, anticipating and responding to service needs. Cooperation and positive teamwork are expected to achieve shared goals while upholding quality standards.

Physical Requirements

The role demands physical activities including reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, and carrying objects up to 50 pounds unaided, with assistance when exceeding this weight. The technician must be able to stand, sit, or walk for prolonged periods during shifts.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of two years’ experience in related maintenance work. No supervisory experience or certifications are necessary.
