Job Overview
The role of the MRD Assistant involves supporting the Medical Records Department by scanning, organizing, and maintaining patient medical records with precision and confidentiality. The assistant ensures that documents are digitized accurately and systematically, supports department workflows, and upholds data privacy standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Scan patient medical records according to established protocols, ensuring clarity and completeness of images.
- Arrange medical records in proper sequence before scanning to maintain order.
- Upload scanned documents to the correct patient files or systems, verifying accuracy in file mapping.
- Inspect scanned files for readability and quality, rescanning when necessary.
- Safeguard physical medical records with proper handling and secure storage.
- Collaborate with MRD and other departments to resolve any missing or incomplete documentation.
- Adhere strictly to confidentiality requirements for patient information at all times.
- Follow hospital policies, data privacy standards, and document handling guidelines.
- Maintain daily logs of scanning activities and productivity metrics.
- Report any technical issues related to scanning equipment or systems to the responsible teams.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the MRD In-Charge or Manager.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum education: Completion of 12th grade, with a preference for degree holders.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations and typing skills.
- Experience or ability to operate scanners and manage digital document workflows.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities for document handling.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Disciplined and responsible work ethic, especially concerning handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Capability to meet daily productivity targets while maintaining accuracy.
