Job description
Role Overview
Join Halfords, the UK's largest automotive service, maintenance and repair enterprise, as a qualified MOT Tester. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further your career in a dynamic and expanding company. You will be responsible for conducting MOT tests and supporting the workshop with light vehicle maintenance duties when not engaged in MOT testing.
Compensation and Work Schedule
- Base salary between £34,000 and £36,000 per annum
- Uncapped monthly bonus scheme with average additional earnings of £6,800 annually
- Total on-target earnings up to £42,800
- Five-day workweek; the centre is closed on Sundays

Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a current MOT Testing Licence (non-licence holders may be considered for mechanic and technician positions)
- A full UK driving licence with a maximum of nine penalty points
- A team-oriented attitude to assist with light vehicle maintenance alongside MOT duties
