Job description
Overview
The Mold Setter role involves handling the removal and installation of molds and preparing auxiliary equipment for planned molding operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Proficiently set and remove molds following established guidelines.
- Connect all necessary utilities such as water, air, electricity, and hydraulics.
- Clean and set up required auxiliary equipment.
- Load programs into machines and robots as needed.
- Manage labeling and tracking of incoming and outgoing molds.
- Complete all related paperwork for mold transfers.
- Execute material changes when necessary.
- Inspect equipment condition and generate maintenance work orders for repairs.
- Operate forklift with a valid license.
- Contribute suggestions for continuous process improvement.
- Adhere strictly to company and safety guidelines.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the Process Technician Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required.
- Basic mathematical skills necessary.
- Ability to clearly communicate requirements with Process Technician Supervisor and team members.
- Capability to handle multiple operations simultaneously.
Physical Demands
- Ability to stand continuously for 3 to 4 hours.
- Capable of lifting and carrying weights up to 55 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to push, pull, and bend as necessary for job tasks.
