Overview
Join PAYBACK's dynamic Digital Sales team in Berlin as a Mobile Engineer specializing in Android development. This permanent full-time position offers the chance to build and enhance scalable Android applications that enable customers to earn and redeem loyalty points via the app and online platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable Android apps using Kotlin with an emphasis on clean, modular, and extensible architecture.
- Collaborate in an agile environment, working closely with Product Owners to define product features, priorities, and roadmap.
- Translate innovative ideas into reliable, high-performance, user-friendly mobile experiences.
- Engage in technical discussions to determine the best solutions collectively within the team.
- Adapt responsibilities based on experience, ownership, and eagerness to learn in a collaborative setting.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven proficiency in Kotlin and hands-on experience building scalable Android applications.
- Strong focus on maintainable, clean code following modular architecture principles.
- Comfort working in an agile framework with active involvement in story refinement and product decisions.
- Enthusiasm for collaborative problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Technical Environment
- Kotlin and Kotlin Multiplatform Mobile (KMM)
- Dependency Injection frameworks like Hilt and Kodein
- Modularization techniques and Architectural Components
- Encryption methods and Reactive Programming (e.g., coroutines)
- UI design using Compose, Data Binding, Material Design, and design systems such as Figma
- MVVM and CLEAN architecture patterns
- Automated and manual testing strategies
- Version control and CI/CD with Git, pull-requests, and Jenkins
