Mobile Application Developer

Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Mobile Application Developer with extensive expertise in overseeing and collaborating with external vendors for the end-to-end lifecycle of mobile app projects. This position involves ensuring smooth communication between business teams and technology providers, guaranteeing timely project deliveries, strict quality control, and alignment with technical and security protocols on both iOS and Android platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage external vendors involved in mobile app design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance, ensuring they have necessary system access and facilities.
• Serve as the main liaison for mobile application vendors, supervising their deliverables, schedules, quality benchmarks, service-level agreements, and costs.
• Ensure vendor compliance with project requirements, technical specifications, security policies, and contractual terms through coordination and oversight.
• Evaluate vendor outputs, perform quality assurance evaluations, and verify adherence to organizational and sector standards.
• Develop, test, and roll out mobile applications on iOS and Android devices.
• Enhance and support existing mobile applications to maintain performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
• Work jointly with internal teams to collect business needs and convert them into functional mobile app solutions.
• Identify and resolve issues within applications whether developed by vendors or internal teams through debugging and troubleshooting.
• Maintain security, scalability, performance, and compliance across all mobile applications.
• Integrate apps with backend systems, APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Handle testing schedules, manage versioning, oversee releases, and provide post-launch support.
• Document technical specifications, user guides, and regularly update project statuses.
• Keep abreast of new developments and best practices in mobile technology frameworks and industry trends.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Between 5 and 8 years of professional experience in mobile application development and vendor coordination.
• Demonstrable competence in managing vendor partnerships encompassing requirements gathering, timeline adherence, deliverable management, service-level agreements, and quality controls.
• In-depth knowledge of the software development lifecycle specific to iOS and Android platforms.
• Practical experience reviewing vendor submissions, conducting quality audits, and managing user acceptance testing and deployment processes.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities, with proven ability to function as a centralized point of coordination between external vendors and internal teams.
