BIM Coordinator - Architecture

Position Overview

We are looking to hire a proficient BIM Coordinator specializing in architecture to oversee the coordination, quality assurance, and administration of architectural BIM models within multidisciplinary projects. This role plays a vital part in guaranteeing the accuracy of models, adherence to BIM standards, and facilitating effective cooperation among architecture, structure, landscape, and infrastructure teams.

Key Duties

• Coordinate BIM models integrating architectural, structural, landscape, and infrastructure disciplines.
• Ensure smooth integration of design data amongst all project stakeholders.
• Review and uphold BIM model compliance with project BIM standards, Levels of Development (LOD), and naming protocols.
• Supervise model quality, consistency, and integrity throughout the project's lifespan.
• Conduct clash detection utilizing Navisworks and liaise with design teams to address and rectify conflicts.
• Track clash issues, manage follow-ups, and ensure prompt resolution.
• Handle model federation and facilitate interdisciplinary coordination reviews.
• Lead or contribute to coordination meetings including consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
• Assist in generating drawings, schedules, and reports derived directly from BIM models.
• Prepare BIM coordination documentation highlighting significant technical challenges, risks, and necessary actions.
• Help develop and execute BIM Execution Plans (BEP), workflows, and project-specific BIM procedures.
• Align BIM processes with internal standards and client requirements.
• Maintain BIM content such as libraries, templates, families, and standards to ensure uniform project delivery.
• Offer technical assistance and advice on BIM tools, methodologies, and best practices to project teams.
• Promote continuous enhancements in BIM workflow and coordination efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related discipline.
• Have 5 to 8 years of professional experience in BIM coordination and architectural design.
• Demonstrate significant hands-on expertise with Autodesk Revit and Navisworks software.
• Be knowledgeable in Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM 360 platforms.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary and large-scale project coordination.
