Job description
Role Overview
As a Mixologist at Emirates Flight Catering, you will lead the innovation and refinement of the bar menu to meet high food and beverage standards, introducing fresh concepts that elevate the guest experience. You will work closely with F&B supervisors to design and conduct comprehensive training programs for service staff, ensuring excellence in beverage preparation and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, present, and continuously enhance the bar menu aligned with F&B standards to provide innovative guest experiences.
- Collaborate with supervisors to plan and execute training for service personnel on beverage preparation, menu updates, and service protocols.
- Manage and oversee bar operations comprehensively, coordinating with management to maintain smooth service.
- Prepare beverages accurately by following recipe guidelines, ensuring consistent quality and guest satisfaction.
- Guide and support bar service staff daily through task delegation, coaching, and feedback to uphold service standards.
- Provide courteous, professional guest service, leveraging extensive knowledge of beverages to create memorable interactions.
- Maintain stringent inventory and stock control, ensuring cost-effectiveness, accurate requisitions, and uninterrupted supply of bar materials.
- Respond swiftly to guest complaints and collaborate on effective resolutions.
- Comply with Emirates Flight Catering's Occupational Health, Safety, and Quality policies (ISO 9001:2008), promoting safe practices and corrective action implementation.
- Execute all tasks following departmental guidelines while fostering continuous improvement to sustain EKFC’s excellence in quality, safety, and service within lounge operations.
Qualifications
- Completion of high school is mandatory.
- Diploma or equivalent qualification is preferred.
- Certification such as WSET levels 1, 2, or 3 or similar beverage-related credentials is advantageous.
Experience
- A minimum of four years working as a bartender or in bar-related roles within the hospitality sector is required.
- Maintain a professional and well-groomed appearance consistent with role expectations.
Skills
- Proficient spoken and written English communication abilities.
- A positive mindset with a strong service orientation.
- Excellent customer service competence.
- Capacity to operate effectively in busy, high-volume service environments.
- Organizational prowess, multitasking capability, and meticulous attention to detail.
