Work Schedule

The workweek runs Monday through Thursday, from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute a preventative maintenance program for manufacturing equipment and machinery.
• Carry out routine inspections on mechanical equipment and tools throughout the facility, addressing issues as they arise.
• Ensure thorough cleaning of tools and machines, identifying and remedying any deficiencies.
• Fabricate and set up engineered hazard controls, including machine guards, to maintain safety standards.
• Collaborate proactively with production staff and operators to generate solutions that reduce downtime and enhance skillsets.
• Maintain detailed maintenance documentation, including inspection reports, service requests, incident reports, turnover sheets, and contractor files, both physically and digitally.
• Encourage teamwork across the plant to support efficient manufacturing operations.
• Adhere to and promote all safe work practices related to machinery and equipment operation.
• Comply with company safety policies and occupational health and safety legislation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possess a Journeyman Millwright certification.
• Have at least three years' experience in tool and machine maintenance.
• Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with maintenance tools, equipment, and instruments.
• Competent in preventive maintenance, inspection, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
• Experience inspecting, cleaning, and maintaining industrial machinery.
• Ability to fabricate and fit engineered hazard control installations like machine guards.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production line operations within a factory environment.
• Effective problem-solving and organizing skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with general production staff, operators, and management.

• Hourly pay ranging from $34.00 to $45.00, based on education and experience.
