Job description
Position Overview
This role is for an experienced Middleware Administrator specialized in Red Hat JBoss, responsible for managing the Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (JBoss EAP) deployments on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems. The position requires 6 to 8 years of relevant experience and is based in Navi Mumbai, Mumbai, or Chennai.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure JBoss instances across Standalone and Managed Domain setups on RHEL environments.
- Handle configuration and deployment tasks including managing JDBC datasources, tuning Java Virtual Machine (JVM) parameters, overseeing logging subsystems, and managing messaging components.
- Design and administer clustering, high availability, and load balancing solutions for enterprise-level applications.
- Implement security measures such as role-based access control and SSL/TLS communication; maintain patch updates on the RHEL OS.
- Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues including memory leaks, deployment failures, and performance bottlenecks using CLI and various monitoring tools.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of Linux administration, including RHEL file systems, user and network management, shell scripting, and system performance optimization.
Required Skills
- Deep expertise in Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform administration.
- Strong Linux (RHEL) operational skills and system troubleshooting.
- Experience with JVM tuning, JDBC datasource management, logging and messaging subsystems.
- Proficient in configuring clustering, load balancing, and high availability solutions.
- Competence in applying security protocols and patch management on RHEL systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Having a Red Hat Certified Specialist in Enterprise Application Server Administration (formerly RHCJA) credential is advantageous.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should hold at least a Bachelor's degree such as B.Tech, B.E., or any Graduate qualification across disciplines.
