Role Overview
We are seeking a Microsoft SQL Server BI/Data Warehouse Developer with 6 to 8 years of hands-on expertise in the Microsoft Business Intelligence technology stack in Chennai or Bangalore, operating in a hybrid work setup. This role centers on creating and supporting data warehouses, semantic models, reports, and analytical systems.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Design, develop, optimize, and maintain databases, data warehouses, data marts, and analytical solutions using SQL Server, SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Perform complex data querying, transformations, and performance tuning applying SQL, MDX, and DAX.
- Develop and manage SSAS Tabular and Multidimensional models, including implementing measures, hierarchies, partitions, relationships, and security configurations.
- Develop, deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain SSIS packages and SSRS reports with at least five years’ experience.
- Exhibit strong understanding of relational database design principles, dimensional modeling, data normalization, indexing, partitioning, data quality, and ETL workflows.
- Analyze and comprehend source systems to identify data risks and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Investigate root causes of issues encompassing data, code, infrastructure, and application dependencies.
- Produce modular, clean, testable, and version-controlled code adhering to standards covering logging, error handling, documentation, and deployment.
- Work within software development life cycle (SDLC) environments, particularly agile methodologies, incorporating DevOps, source control, continuous integration/deployment, and release management.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, modern analytics frameworks, automation, and emerging data technologies is a plus.
