Role Overview
The Metrology Operation-Process Engineer ensures the efficient management and optimization of metrology-related processes within a manufacturing setting. This includes maintaining accurate measurements and calibration for metrology instruments, managing personnel and resources related to metrology operations, and cooperating with multiple departments to uphold production quality and continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise ROCC operators dedicated to CD semiconductor (CDSem) processes.
- Oversee ROCC operational coverage and scheduling for CDSem.
- Develop new product measurement procedures, such as recipes for thickness and critical dimension (CD) metrics.
- Formulate contingency or crisis plans for metrology equipment to minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate downtime reduction strategies by collaborating with production teams, process engineers, and equipment owners.
- Organize metrology technicians' shifts and ensure appropriate training is provided.
- Support activities related to capacity planning, production relocations, cycle time monitoring, and output optimization.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a similar technical discipline.
- At least three years of relevant experience in metrology process operations within a manufacturing environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of measurement systems, calibration procedures, and applicable industrial standards.
- Strong analytical mindset coupled with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams.
