Job description
Overview
Al-Watania Poultry, recognized as the largest poultry producer in the Middle East, is reinforcing its market position by seeking a meticulous Merchandiser. This role focuses on optimizing the display, availability, pricing, and upkeep of their poultry products in retail stores, adhering strictly to the company’s merchandising protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and present company products in line with established merchandising standards.
- Maintain consistent stock availability on shelves and within refrigerated displays.
- Track inventory levels in retail outlets and promptly report any shortages or stock-outs.
- Ensure pricing labels and promotional content are accurate and visibly positioned.
- Apply FEFO/FIFO stock rotation practices by overseeing production and expiry dates of products.
- Keep shelves, refrigerators, and displays tidy, orderly, and visually appealing.
- Follow predefined planograms and guidelines for product placement.
- Manage and monitor the allocated shelf and display spaces dedicated to the company’s products.
- Observe and report on competitor merchandise, promotional efforts, pricing strategies, and merchandising activities.
- Liaise with store staff and the internal sales team to guarantee correct product display and stock levels.
- Compile merchandising reports and submit regular updates including photographic evidence of store visits.
- Adhere strictly to organizational policies, quality standards, and safety requirements.
Candidate Profile
- Possession of a High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification is essential.
- Strong organizational capabilities and diligent follow-up skills.
- Capability to perform on-field visits to multiple retail locations.
- Effective communication and interpersonal aptitude.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within team settings.
- Keen attention to detail combined with dedication and discipline.
- Flexibility with respect to working hours and location assignments.
- Prior experience in merchandising, retail, sales, food products, or FMCG sectors is advantageous.
