Merchandiser - Full-Time Night Shift

About the Role

We invite you to join a locally owned and operated store dedicated to delivering exceptional health, beauty, and convenience services within your community. This Merchandiser role is focused on ensuring the customer experience remains central while maintaining efficient inventory and product presentation throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize backroom stock adhering strictly to Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) guidelines.
• Utilize PDT (Portable Data Terminal) and MMS (Merchandise Management System) daily to perform assigned tasks accurately.
• Manage product exit strategies and returns as directed.
• Maintain expertise in assigned product areas, including inventory control, proper placement, and monitoring of expiry dates.
• Ensure that store standards for image, visual merchandising, and current trends are upheld.
• Create product displays that are consumer-focused and encourage purchasing.
• Receive merchandise following established receiving policies and procedures.
• Maintain an orderly and well-organized backroom in line with organizational principles.
• Complete required documentation accurately for both receipt and return of goods.
• Support Front Store management in upholding quality and store standards.
• Demonstrate professional image and comply with dress code policies.
• Proactively engage customers, offering assistance while on the sales floor.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and loss prevention policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong planning capabilities with sound judgement and decision-making skills.
• Efficient, organized, and neat work habits.
• Adaptability to dynamic sales floor situations.
• Accuracy and efficiency in handling cash register transactions if applicable.

Experience and Skills

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with cash registers.
• Well-organized with attention to detailed record-keeping.
• Detail-oriented thinker and self-motivated to work independently.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Flexible availability including night shifts and weekend work.
• Physical ability to lift items up to 50 pounds and climb ladders when necessary.

Compensation

The hourly wage ranges from 17.95 to 19.65 CAD, influenced by experience, knowledge, and regional factors.
