Position Summary
Based in El Paso, Texas, the Merchandiser is responsible for presenting beverage products attractively on shelves, showcases, and the sales floor in retail locations by performing various key duties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrange beverage products on displays according to pre-approved plans or approved personal ideas.
- Place price tags and descriptive signage on fixtures, merchandise, floors, or backdrops.
- Transfer inventory from stockroom to sales floor, managing "Sell By" dates to ensure product freshness and optimize stock levels.
- Order merchandise for assigned client accounts following established procedures to prevent out-of-stock scenarios.
- Develop or implement display concepts based on guidance from Merchandiser and Sales Managers.
- Maintain daily effective communication with key store personnel regarding product and service requirements.
- Assemble and construct display materials using company-provided Point of Sale (POS) resources.
- Carry out other responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and 1-3 months related experience or training.
- Must meet company driving qualification standards.
- Communications: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; capable of writing basic documents and communicating effectively in small groups or one-on-one settings.
- Mathematical Skills: Competent in fundamental mathematical operations including understanding rates, ratios, percentages, and graph interpretation.
- Legal: Some states require employees to be at least 21 years old for merchandising, promoting, or delivering alcoholic beverages.
- Reasoning: Ability to apply common sense to follow oral, written, or diagram instructions and handle issues with several concrete variables under standard conditions.

Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, and hear
- Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Must be able to lift or move up to 70 pounds without assistance, and occasionally up to 100 pounds using manual lifting equipment
- Vision abilities including close vision and focus adjustment
Work Environment
The role may involve occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions with typically moderate noise levels in the working environment.
