Role Overview and Responsibilities

  • Lead the Merchandise team to spearhead visual merchandising excellence focused on the 'Fresh' category.
  • Ensure products are attractively displayed with attention to placement, appeal, and quality to elevate customer experience.
  • Maintain strict adherence to company policies and legal regulations throughout all merchandising activities.
  • Conduct regular store walks and audits to uphold high standards of freshness and quality, especially in fresh food production areas.
  • Manage planogram accuracy, store cleanliness, stock loss prevention, markdown processes, and ensure displays align with current campaigns.
  • Promote the company's 'Own Brand' products and encourage the team to serve as passionate food ambassadors.
  • Identify and rectify operational issues, performing health checks to drive continuous process improvements.
  • Provide leadership by stepping in as Acting Store Manager during scheduled shifts and actively engaging in team collaboration projects.

Candidate Qualifications and Attributes

  • Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking capabilities to address complex challenges effectively.
  • Ability to build and nurture collaborative relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • Leadership experience with skills in delegation, monitoring team progress, coaching, and motivating members.
  • Excellent communication skills for clearly conveying tasks, timelines, responsibilities, and performance expectations.
  • Data literacy to analyze information and use insights to drive actionable outcomes while maintaining accountability and timeliness.
  • Willingness to work four weekend shifts monthly, which must include at least one Saturday and one Sunday, along with one weekly evening shift until store closing.
