Job Overview
This full-time Medical Receptionist position, located in Wagga Wagga, NSW, involves working Monday through Friday. Shifts may fall anytime between 7:30 am and 8:00 pm, with initial training hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. As the first point of contact for patients, the successful candidate will play a vital role in facilitating customer service and the administrative processes within a large radiology network.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet patients and assist them through check-in procedures.
- Respond promptly and professionally to emails and phone inquiries.
- Manage billing processes, including private billing, Medicare, workers compensation, and DVA.
- Work collaboratively with clerical staff, technologists, radiologists, and referring physicians.
- After full training, perform duties as a Contact Centre Agent, including answering inbound calls for appointment bookings, advising patients about scan preparations, and efficiently managing the appointment schedule.
Required Skills and Experience
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate appointments and manage patient flow.
- Confidence in navigating multiple computer systems and screens simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail abilities.
- Experience in customer service or medical reception roles.
