Key Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance tasks that guarantee the safe, reliable, and efficient running of mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and fix mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components such as motors, drives, and production machinery.
- Quickly address equipment malfunctions, determine root causes, and implement actions to reduce downtime and enhance equipment efficiency.
- Examine machinery, assess maintenance needs, and assist in planning overhauls, preventive maintenance, and spare parts inventory.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment issues, maintenance work, and service orders using SAP.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Maintenance teams, suppliers, and OEM representatives on repair tasks, technical challenges, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to improvement efforts using methodologies like Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and develop solutions to persistent technical problems.
- Adhere strictly to all maintenance activities in line with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols, food safety standards, and company policies including HACCP, GMP, 5S, and Food Defense.
Qualifications and Skills
- Possess at least a two-year technical or vocational qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or related fields, preferably from Food or FMCG industries.
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise with mechanical equipment, including drives, lubrication, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, particularly in troubleshooting and repairs.
- Capability to read and understand engineering blueprints, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), pneumatic and hydraulic schematics, along with knowledge of relevant mechanical standards and codes.
- Familiarity with food manufacturing processes and safety practices, including HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and 5S methodologies.
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office applications, plus experience with problem-solving frameworks such as RCA and Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA).
- Business-level English communication skills.
- Residence in Jeddah or willingness to relocate, with flexibility to access the factory site.
