Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Inspector based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to become an integral member of our site supervision team. This role demands meticulousness and strong analytical skills to ensure all mechanical equipment, systems, and installations comply with quality, safety, and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed on-site inspections of mechanical equipment, systems, and components, verifying conformance with project specifications, safety guidelines, and industry benchmarks.
• Evaluate mechanical installations such as HVAC systems, piping, industrial machinery, plumbing, firefighting, gas, and fuel systems.
• Precisely document defects, non-compliance, and potential issues, producing clear and accurate reports.
• Maintain thorough records and oversee proper use of inspection and reporting tools.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and contractors to troubleshoot mechanical issues and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Ensure corrective measures are implemented within set deadlines and meet project requirements.
• Stay updated on industry standards, regulations, and local Saudi codes including ASHRAE and NFPA.
• Participate proactively in project meetings, offering technical advice and insights that support project goals.
• Adhere rigorously to safety protocols during all inspection activities.
• Provide mentoring to junior inspectors, promoting skill development and excellence.
• Communicate inspection results effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of professional experience in mechanical building services covering installation, testing, inspection, and commissioning.
• Expert knowledge in evaluating HVAC systems, plumbing, firefighting systems, gas, and fuel system inspections.
• In-depth understanding of mechanical systems’ components, material standards, and building service operations.
• Proficiency in inspection methodologies, quality control procedures, and compliance with industry and Saudi local codes (ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Experience with documentation and inspection software tools is essential.
• Good grasp of construction sequences, project lifecycles, and on-site operations management.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail and quality assurance.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective teamwork and reporting.
• Ability to work independently or collaboratively under dynamic and high-pressure conditions.
• Previous roles in engineering consulting or associated fields are preferred.
• Leadership skills to coach and support junior staff advantageous.
• Must be willing to travel to various sites within Riyadh and elsewhere in Saudi Arabia as needed.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills for building productive stakeholder relationships.
