Role Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced and visionary Design Manager specializing in Master Planning to join our Riyadh office. This senior leadership role demands overseeing the full cycle of master planning projects, guiding multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, sustainable, and commercially successful urban development designs. You will translate client visions into detailed master plans aligned with local laws, market needs, and corporate standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, planning, and execution of master planning projects from start to finish.
• Manage and mentor a diverse group of designers, planners, and technical experts to cultivate a collaborative and creative working atmosphere.
• Conduct thorough site analyses and feasibility studies to inform strategic planning decisions.
• Develop detailed master plans using industry-standard design and modeling software.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, clients, and municipal authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and local development policies.
• Analyze market trends, demographics, and economic factors to guide planning strategies.
• Prepare and deliver detailed design proposals, visual presentations, and comprehensive reports to clients and leadership teams.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource planning to guarantee efficient and timely completion.
• Ensure that all design outputs meet sustainability criteria and incorporate urban design and environmental best practices.
• Review and uphold quality standards for all design deliverables in line with organizational and client expectations.
• Stay updated with industry developments, emerging technologies, and evolving best practices in master planning and urban design.

Qualifications

• At least 15 years of significant professional experience in master planning, urban design, or large-scale development projects.
• Proven track record of creating comprehensive master plans for mixed-use, residential, commercial, or similar developments.
• Advanced skills in design and planning software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and 3D modeling tools.
• Strong understanding of building codes, zoning laws, and local planning regulations, with a preference for candidates familiar with Saudi Arabian standards.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and design-focused initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, able to translate complex data into practical design solutions.
• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities to effectively convey design concepts to diverse groups.
• Experience in project management including budget control, timeline scheduling, and efficient resource allocation.
• Expertise with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and advanced visualization methodologies.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and green building certifications.
• Familiarity with the Middle Eastern market and development environment is highly advantageous.
• Strong skills in managing stakeholder relationships and client engagement.
• Excellent organizational aptitude and thorough attention to detail, capable of handling multiple concurrent projects.
