Job Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Mechanical Engineer with at least a decade of professional background in mechanical engineering, including design, installation, upkeep, and project management. The candidate should bring comprehensive technical expertise and leadership abilities to oversee complex engineering projects while adhering to relevant standards, safety protocols, and quality controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and design mechanical systems, equipment, and engineering solutions.
• Lead and manage mechanical engineering operations throughout all project phases.
• Create and evaluate technical specifications, blueprints, calculations, and engineering documentation.
• Administer mechanical installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams including electrical, civil, and architectural.
• Assess contractor and supplier submissions, technical files, and material standards.
• Track project advancement, quality standards, budget, and timelines.
• Diagnose technical problems and devise effective engineering remedies.
• Ensure all mechanical activities comply with international codes, standards, and safety guidelines.
• Conduct inspections to confirm conformity with approved plans and specifications.
• Engage in discussions with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Offer technical mentorship and support to junior staff and engineers.
• Prepare progress updates, technical paperwork, and maintain project records.
• Guarantee adherence to organizational policies, health and safety standards, and quality management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of pertinent professional experience.
• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience overseeing and coordinating engineering projects.
• Familiarity with international engineering standards and codes.
• Competency in engineering software along with Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and sound decision-making abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of working autonomously and leading cross-functional teams effectively.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a professional engineer is beneficial.
• Exposure to large-scale projects in construction, industrial sectors, oil & gas, or infrastructure is preferred.
• Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and quality assurance.
• Experience collaborating with consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management expertise.
