Daily Responsibilities

• Inspect gas turbine engine modules and components thoroughly.
• Work both independently and collaboratively to maintain high-quality standards.
• Complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
• Adhere strictly to aviation safety protocols and regulatory guidelines.

Position Requirements

• Capability to interpret manuals, technical drawings, and blueprints to assess appropriate operating conditions.
• Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions effectively.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Capacity to stand for extended periods during work shifts.
• Successful completion of the TOWES (Test of Workplace Essential Skills), provided and financed by the company (applies to Winnipeg location; Red Seal Journeypersons exempt).

Preferred Qualifications

• Possession of FAA Power Plant Certification is an advantage.

Career Progression Levels

• Mechanic I: Basic understanding of engines and their components; some experience dismantling and assembling engine parts; minimal prior experience required.
• Mechanic II: Comprehensive knowledge of complex parts inspection; ability to guide others; proficiency in reading technical manuals; requires at least 2 years of relevant training or experience.
• Mechanic III: Advanced skills in engine assembly and disassembly; deep understanding of technical documentation; resource person for colleagues; capable of signing off skill proficiency; prefers apprenticeship or formal specialization training; 3-5 years of maintenance experience desired.
