Role Overview and Impact

As a Meat Wrapper, you will professionally and promptly execute all aspects of the role. You will provide outstanding customer service, foster loyalty, satisfy customer requirements, and contribute positively to a cooperative environment for staff and clients alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with all food safety guidelines, standard operating procedures, corporate policies, and health and safety regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service tailored to meet clientele needs
• Precisely wrap, package, price, label, and date meat and poultry products ensuring cost-effective handling
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area at all times
• Manage product handling, rotation, and organization following company standards
• Accurately document required information in relevant logs
• Execute merchandising and product promotion adhering to company presentation standards
• Handle and prepare deli products in line with company quality and food safety protocols
• Drive increased sales through active promotion of products
• Contribute to training and development of junior staff members
• Order and manage inventory according to company stock control procedures
• Prepare and maintain meat products for service displays, where applicable
• Process department shrinkage accurately
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Capability to safely lift up to 50 lbs; two-person lifts required for heavier items
• Capacity to endure standing for prolonged periods and perform physical tasks including bending, lifting, and reaching
• Tolerance for short-term exposure to varying temperatures and cleaning chemicals
• Willingness for flexible scheduling and overtime hours
