Position Overview

We are currently looking for a retail store Meat Clerk to join our vibrant team. This role entails cleaning, inspecting, and rotating all meat products carefully. It also involves restocking displays with fresh merchandise and ensuring product freshness by monitoring expiration dates. Strong teamwork and excellent customer interaction skills are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate professionally within the team and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Verify product prices, correctly hang current promotional signage, and remove expired sales tags.
• Manage ordering and inventory of meats, seafood, and poultry essentials.
• Assist customers by providing detailed product information to aid purchasing decisions.
• Maintain an orderly and appealing department and meat display area.
• Adhere strictly to sanitation and health safety standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Possession of a valid Food Handlers Card.
• Previous experience in food preparation within a grocery store setting is preferred.
• Friendly demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a busy and fast-moving work environment.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

• Continuous walking throughout shifts while moving around the store and gathering products.
• Continuous standing during the entire work period.
• Capability to lift weights up to 30 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

Compensation Details
