Position Overview
Join Walmart Canada as a Meat Associate, where you'll enhance your skills in a dynamic retail environment focused on delivering excellent customer service. You will maintain the meat department's cleanliness, organization, and stock levels while assisting in various sales operations to provide a pleasant shopping atmosphere.
Key Duties
- Maintain the meat department's cleanliness, organization, and zoning to ensure a customer-ready environment at all times, including rotating stock and removing expired items.
- Ensure accurate pricing and signage by following established protocols for ordering, markdowns, and labeling.
- Comply with food safety and cold chain standards including temperature monitoring, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Prepare and serve deli products like meat, cheese, and fried chicken using various kitchen equipment safely to fulfill customer orders and stock displays.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Be flexible with shift schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business demands.

- Manage high workloads efficiently in a fast-paced setting, especially during overnight shifts.
- Plan work hours to stay focused and energized throughout shifts.
- Handle physical demands such as standing long hours, bending, and lifting inventory up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive stocking and organizing tasks with precision.

Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.05.
