Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and correct zoning of the meat department to guarantee it is always customer-ready.
• Regularly rotate merchandise and remove expired and unsellable items to ensure quality.
• Ensure that all products are correctly priced and labeled following established procedures covering ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing, and tagging.
• Comply with food safety protocols and cold chain standards, including taking temperature readings, calibrating thermometers, handling food properly, rotating products, and adhering to sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare deli items such as meats, cheeses, and fried chicken by safely using equipment like slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers. Fulfill special customer orders and maintain display cases.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies to sustain a safe, hygienic, and clean workplace.
• Exhibit flexibility by working various shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays as required to support smooth store operations and continuous customer service excellence.
• Effectively manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced setting, particularly during overnight shifts, to maintain focus and productivity.
• Fulfill physically demanding duties involving prolonged standing, bending, and lifting weights up to approximately 50 pounds, and perform repetitive stocking and zoning tasks diligently.

Compensation

The minimum hourly wage for this role begins at $16.80.

Minimum Qualifications
