Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the meat department’s cleanliness, organization, and zoning to ensure consistent customer readiness. Routinely rotate stock and dispose of expired or unsellable items.
• Verify that all items are priced and labeled accurately in accordance with established procedures for ordering, clearances, price changes, and signage.
• Strictly adhere to food safety protocols including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, proper handling, product rotation, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products such as meats, cheeses, and fried chicken to customers, safely operating slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and related equipment.
• Conform with all health and safety policies to maintain a hygienic and secure workplace.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working a range of shifts— evenings, weekends, and holidays—according to business demands to ensure smooth store operations and consistent service levels.

Potential Challenges

• Effectively manage a high number of tasks in a fast-paced environment, especially during overnight shifts, by scheduling and conserving energy to maintain performance.
• Handle heavy workloads efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate completion of restocking and recovery activities.
• Engage in physical work including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items weighing up to 20 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repetitive duties with focus and accuracy to uphold operational standards.

Compensation

This position offers a starting hourly wage of $16.95.
