Key Responsibilities

• Keep the meat department tidy, organized, and properly zoned to ensure it is always welcoming for customers.
• Regularly rotate stock and promptly remove any expired or unsellable products.
• Ensure all products are accurately priced and labeled according to company guidelines, including managing markups, markdowns, clearance, and signage.
• Strictly follow food safety and cold chain procedures, such as temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, proper food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare deli items like meat, cheese, and fried chicken, taking customer orders and utilizing equipment such as slicers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and stackers safely.
• Adhere to health and safety policies to maintain a hygienic, safe, and clean work environment.
• Demonstrate adaptability by working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs and ensure continuous excellent customer service.

Challenges and Physical Requirements

• Effectively manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, by maintaining focus and energy throughout the workday.
• Perform physically demanding activities including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 20 lbs, occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Conduct repetitive duties such as stocking and organizing products with consistent attention to detail to maintain store standards.

The starting wage for this position is $18.05 per hour.
