Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper zoning of the meat department to guarantee it is always ready and inviting for customers.
• Regularly rotate products and remove any expired or unsellable items.
• Ensure all product pricing and signage are accurate, adhering to established processes for ordering, markdowns, clearance, labeling, and flagging.
• Follow stringent food safety and cold chain standards, including temperature monitoring, thermometer calibration, correct food handling, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Take customer orders and prepare deli products such as meats, cheeses, and fried chicken using equipment like slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers safely and correctly.
• Adhere to all health and safety policies to maintain a hygienic and secure work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by being available for various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support store operations and consistent customer service.
• Effectively handle a high volume of tasks in a fast-paced environment, including overnight shifts, ensuring all restocking and recovery duties are executed correctly and timely.
• Perform physical activities including prolonged standing, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment typically up to 20 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, while executing repetitive tasks like stocking and organizing to maintain store standards.

Qualifications

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this position is $18.05.
