Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat department, ensuring it is customer-ready at all times through proper zoning and regular stock rotation while removing outdated or unsellable items.
• Guarantee accurate pricing and labeling of merchandise in compliance with established guidelines for ordering, pricing adjustments, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety standards and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring, using calibrated thermometers, proper product handling, rotation schedules, and monitoring sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve various deli products such as sliced meat, cheeses, and fried chicken using specialized equipment safely; ensure display cases are stocked and fulfill special customer orders accurately.
• Comply with health and safety regulations and Walmart policies to sustain a hygienic and secure workplace environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays according to operational needs to support consistent service delivery.

Challenges in the Role

• Manage a high volume of tasks in a fast-moving environment, especially overnight shifts, requiring efficient time and energy management to maintain focus and productivity.
• Handle physically demanding duties, including standing for long durations, bending, and lifting items typically up to 20 lbs and sometimes up to 50 lbs.
• Perform repeated tasks such as stocking and organizing with precision to uphold visual and operational standards.

Compensation
