About the Role
Followmont Transport Pty Ltd invites applications for a dependable MC Local Driver to join their Pick Up & Delivery team in Sydney. This full-time position offers consistent hours with the prospect of regular overtime and a supportive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficient local freight pickups and deliveries, delivering excellent customer service, and contributing to the safe and smooth operation of the transport network.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform local collection and delivery of general freight assignments.
- Handle safe loading, unloading, and securement of goods.
- Operate tailgates and pallet jacks when necessary.
- Complete all required delivery paperwork and conduct daily vehicle safety checks.
- Adhere to strict safety and compliance standards at all times.
- Maintain professionalism and courteous customer service during all deliveries.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Possession of a current MC (Medium Combination) driver's licence.
- Previous experience in transport or delivery services is preferred.
- Forklift licence is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Strong dedication toward safety procedures and high-quality customer service.
- Capability to perform manual handling tasks as part of the role.
- Ability to successfully pass a medical examination, drug and alcohol screening, and a criminal background check.
