Job Overview

The Material Planning Specialist will play a key role in developing and enhancing sustainable material management systems and planning processes. The position collaborates extensively within the NOC and acts as the representative overseeing work process management improvements through the SAP system, coordinating with Warehouse teams and other stakeholders in the Maintenance & Inspection (M&I) organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain processes and procedures to support maintenance material management and foster continuous improvement.
  • Promote a zero-incident workplace by cultivating a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure excellent health, safety, and environmental (HSE) performance by personnel, contractors, and related parties.
  • Comply with HSE laws, company policies, and procedures to guarantee employee safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Identify and implement improvements across all maintenance material management activities, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide expert advice and support to onshore and offshore teams regarding maintenance-related material management and logistics.
  • Administer and assist onshore and offshore teams with material handling and movement.
  • Serve as a liaison with Warehouse staff to maintain uninterrupted materials and equipment flow for repair, refurbishment, and return cycles.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance divisions to optimize material management efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Campaign, Shutdown, and Base Operation Material Coordinators for effective tracking, labeling, and tagging of materials.
  • Liaise with Warehouse and contractor personnel to ensure strong management, storage, and preservation of maintenance-related components, including special tooling and turbine kits.
  • Support repair processes by engaging with local vendor workshops and warehouses as needed.
  • Act as the point of contact for QA/QC material issues, coordinating with the Technical Materials Administrator (TADM).
  • Participate in audits relevant to Maintenance material management and Warehouse operations.
  • Manage all required certification and documentation in accordance with NOC document management protocols.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Robust experience and deep knowledge in Material Management, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, and supporting business processes.
  • At least 10 years of oil and gas industry experience, preferably in warehouses, logistics, or material management functions.
  • Proven proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP and PALM.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Practical understanding of planning and scheduling tools like Primavera.
  • Sound knowledge of industry process safety standards, guidelines, and procedures.
  • Expertise in equipment maintenance, inventory control, material planning, and warehouse management best practices.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and coordination abilities to thrive in multidisciplinary teams.
  • High computer literacy coupled with sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
