Opportunity Overview

Avantor is seeking a dedicated Material Controller to join its Athlone facility on a full-time, onsite basis. The position is embedded within a laboratory-supportive environment where material management is key to ensuring smooth workflows aligned with customer demands.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum education of high school graduation or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven and consistent work experience in warehouse, inventory, retail, or hospitality sectors.
  • Positive mindset, excellent work discipline, and familiarity with general warehousing concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is advantageous.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and personal transport to facilitate commuting to Athlone.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage stock while adhering strictly to GMP guidelines.
  • Keep precise inventory records and maintain optimal stock replenishment schedules.
  • Support laboratory activities by controlling material flows and ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Handle special material requests and collaborate with suppliers when required.
  • Operate necessary equipment while complying with all site policies and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct routine administrative duties related to stock management and regulatory compliance.
