Overview
We are partnering with a global leader in defence advanced technology, currently seeking a PMO Master Scheduler to become part of their expanding team in Canberra. This is a permanent position ideal for a professional ready to contribute at a pivotal moment as the organization aims to transform its PMO processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, integrate, and maintain robust, top-quality schedules that cover multiple programs within the portfolio.
- Ensure schedules align precisely with delivery plans, production goals, and contractual obligations.
- Serve as the authoritative source of scheduling information, providing clear visibility at the portfolio level.
- Oversee schedule monitoring and reporting activities to track progress and flag potential issues.
- Facilitate PM enablement and deliver training to enhance team capabilities surrounding scheduling tools and methodologies.
- Coordinate resource allocation efficiently to support program demands.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine scheduling processes and outcomes.
- Engage and manage stakeholders effectively to align expectations and communicate progress.
- Identify and manage risks impacting schedules and project timelines.
- Ensure that scheduling activities conform with commercial and contract requirements.
- Support PMO and change management efforts to maintain alignment across projects and organizational priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) or PSP certification.
- At least ten years of experience managing large-scale programs.
- Familiarity with defence sector methodologies, including ASDEFCON standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and Planner for schedule development and management.
Additional Information
This position requires Australian citizenship or security clearance.
