Mason

Position Overview

As a Mason at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts located in Al Mouj, Muscat, Oman, you will be responsible for performing scheduled preventative upkeep across guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas. Your duties include mattress flipping, vacuuming behind and under furniture, deep carpet cleaning, touch-up painting, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, verifying the presence and functioning of appliances, managing light fixtures, and inspecting grout and caulking.

Maintenance and Repairs

You will perform maintenance and minor repairs on hotel equipment and facilities following the property's preventative maintenance protocols and standard procedures such as GCPM, CARE, Make Ready Team, Perfect Room Team. Tasks include fixing loose toilet seats, replacing bulbs, and patching wall holes. Prompt reporting of significant maintenance issues, unusual conditions, or safety hazards to supervisors is essential.

Safety and Conduct

Strictly adhere to all company safety and security guidelines, report accidents or unsafe conditions immediately, and complete all required safety trainings. Maintain a professional appearance, safeguard confidential information, protect company assets, and provide cordial guest service following company standards.

Physical Requirements and Teamwork

The role involves physical activities such as reaching above shoulder height, bending, twisting, stooping, and lifting or moving up to 50 pounds independently. Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve team objectives and uphold service quality standards.

Qualifications

Applicants are expected to hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior related experience is less than one year, and no supervisory experience is necessary. No specific licenses or certifications are required.
