Role Overview

As a Manufacturing Technician, your duties will take place primarily in a cleanroom environment where you will assemble and test multimillion-dollar display and wafer fabrication equipment. Responsibilities include building, troubleshooting, repairing, and testing equipment assemblies and components involving electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, and pneumatic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Use routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists to assemble, repair, and test various equipment components including electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Carry out troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Detect and correct operational errors during assembly and testing processes.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, maintaining a secure and clean work environment.
• Participate in health and safety training and comply with organizational safety and security practices.
• Report accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies promptly to supervisory or safety personnel.
• Employ personal protective equipment properly and handle materials and equipment safely.
• Use electronic measurement tools, test fixtures, leak detectors, and vacuum pumps to perform testing and diagnostics on assemblies and components.
• Input data relating to progress, expenses, and labor details accurately into computerized systems.
• May engage in activities involving computer programming, software installation, or equipment repair.
• Conduct parts audits ensuring availability and inspecting for defects to support building, testing, and repair activities.

Candidate Requirements

• Capable of developing analytical competencies and applying scientific methods to fulfill diverse work activities.
• Understanding of team dynamics and how to collaborate effectively with other groups.
• Adept at identifying and resolving common operational issues independently using standard procedures or scientific methods.
• Strong communication skills to facilitate effective information exchange.
